What is the epicFlowers Secure Payment Gateway?
Provided in partnership with PayLeap, the epicFlowers Secure Payment Gateway includes everything you need to accept credit cards online through your epicFlowers store (or virtual terminal) and over the phone.
How Is This Different From my epicFlowers website?
The epicFlowers Secure Payment Gateway provides you with everything you need to accept credit cards online, while the epicFlowers website software provides the online store, checkout functionality, etc you need to take orders from your customers.
Is epicFlowers/PayLeap PCI Compliant?
Yes, epicFlowers is level 1 certified PCI compliant.
My business is in Canada, can I apply?
I already have an account with a payment provider such as Google Checkout, Authorize.net or PayPal. Can I use that?
Yes. If you already have an account with one of our supported payment providers, you can use that to accept credit cards only. If you have your own merchant account, however, funds will be deposited into your bank account more regularly and your fees could also be significantly lower.
What credit card types may I accept?
Our gateway supports all major North American card networks. Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, JCB, Wright Express, Carte Blanche & Diner’s Club.
Will I need additional equipment?
If you are an internet, mail order, or telephone order merchant then the answer is “no”. Our gateway converts any PC into a real time Virtual Terminal. If you will be accepting face-to-face transactions, there may be the costs associated with purchasing a card swiper and a pin pad, if debit processing is desired. Please mention this to our representatives during the application process.
What type of bank account do I need?
You will need a business checking account. Your bank must allow this account to be credited and debited via ACH methods.
What happens after my application is approved?
After we approve your application, we will send you an email that confirms your approval and contains your user name and password. You will also receive a welcome kit via U.S. Mail with information pertinent to your account and customer service information.
How will I get paid for credit card transactions?
Your designated checking account will be credited for MasterCard/Visa transactions within two business days of batch submission. All American Express transactions will be deposited by American Express.
Who will review the information on my application?
Our merchant underwriting and activation group will review your application. The information you provide is kept completely confidential.
Who do I contact if I am having problems with the application?
If you are having difficulty with any of the requested application data or are experiencing technical problems while completing the application you can always contact us.
How long will it take me to complete the online application?
We’ve designed our short online application with your busy schedule in mind. But before you begin, you will need to gather necessary information. Provided you have all of the information on hand, you can complete the application in about 15 minutes.
